Pleasant Valley Dentistry

At Pleasant Valley Dentistry, we place the highest emphasis on your comfort while also providing high-quality, comprehensive dental care. We provide a variety of amenities to make your visit as pleasant as possible, from complementary beverages, to television and music to enjoy during treatment. Our skillful staff will work with you to schedule your visit promptly and answer questions you may have about your dental insurance. It is our goal that you leave each visit with our office with a smile on your face (and the confidence to show that smile off!). 

Meet Our Team

Jen Office Manager

Jen is the administrative genius and Office Manager of Pleasant Valley Dentistry. She has been in the dental industry for over 15 years and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in clinical dentistry as well as dental insurances, making her an excellent resource to answer your questions. Jen is committed to professional development, and has achieved DANB certification in dental assisting, as well as holding an active membership in the American Academy of Dental Office Managers (AADOM). She has a passion for educating our patients to ensure they are getting the treatment they need and deserve, and is highly skilled at explaining various payment options and communicating with dental insurance companies. 

Jen is originally a native of Uxbridge, and enjoys spending time with her extensive family in the area. She is an avid patriots fan, and enjoys golfing and camping. She currently resides in Douglas.

Sonya Dental Hygienist

As a dental professional with 20 years in the field, Sonya places a high value on patient connection. "For me, it's the interactions I have with my patients that is the best part of what I do. I love my patients and love teaching them how to care for their teeth and gums." During your appointment, it is Sonya's goal to keep you comfortable, while delivering skillful and compassionate dental care. She understands that coming to see us isn't easy for some people, but it is important to her that when you walk out our door, you feel glad that you came.

Sonya is a resident of Sutton and a proud mom of three boys, one crazy dog, and all of her girls - her beloved chickens! She is an avid gardener, enjoys camping with her family, and is always busy doing home improvement projects with her husband.


Joanne is joining us as our newest dental hygienist after practicing for over 20 years in Whitinsville. She earned her Associates degree in Dental Hygiene in 1992 at Quinsigamond CC and has been in the dental field for over 35 years. Joanne is passionate about dental health and takes pride in getting to know her patients personal dental needs and guiding them to optimum health. Her goal is that her patients are armed with the knowledge to keep their teeth for their lifetime. She feels especially accomplished when she can assist people with negative memories of past dentistry in becoming comfortable and happy under her care. Joanne lives in Sutton and in her free time, enjoys gardening, biking, and going out on her boat. She is also a huge Patriots fan!

Emily Greeter/Receptionist

Emily is our newest addition to the PVD family and the friendly face to greet you on arrival to our office! Emily is new to the dental field, but has proven herself to be a quick learner and highly valuable member of our team. She brings from her prior profession a strong emphasis on customer service and communication, and an expert ability to coordinate our busy schedules. 

In her spare time, Emily enjoys hanging out with her dog Maia, going for walks, and she loves going to concerts of all music genres. 

Alijah Dental Assistant

         Alijah is a Dental Assistant who works with the whole team to prepare for appointments, keep things running on time, and assist chairside during procedures in the office. She is often found moving around at quick pace to ensure our patients time considerations are always kept in mind. She believes that with a happy healthy smile, confidence and a positive attitude will always follow suit. Alijah has pursued training at two separate dental assisting training programs, when she found herself craving a greater depth of clinical knowledge and skills. She strives to always continue her personal and educational growth, having completed education courses at Tufts Boston, certifications through the State of Massachusetts, and the Dental Assisting National Board. 

            In addition to her general studies in Boston, Alijah studied accounting and business. Using her breadth of knowledge and organizational skills, she became a board of director for a non-profit cancer organization assisting children and families suffering with brain-stem cancer. Wearing many hats, the dental field is where Alijah found her forever career knowing that not only she gets to help people daily but also helps provide bright smiles and confidence. She can usually be found dancing and singing through the halls of Pleasant Valley Dentistry. In her free time, Alijah is passionate about cars and motorcycles. 

Kate Dental Assistant

Kate recently joined the PVD team after a hiatus from dental assisting to raise her two daughters. She attended New England Dental Assisting School in 2008. Kate's enthusiastic and fun personality helps to make patients feel comfortable and enjoy their visit in our office. She is also often making the rest of the team laugh with her lighthearted personality. She loves assisting for surgical and cosmetic procedures, and is quickly becoming one of the most skilled members of our team in dental photography.

Outside of work, Kate loves spending time with her daughters, camping with her family, and taking trips to the beach. She is thrilled to be part of the Pleasant Valley Dentistry team.

Katryna Dental Assistant

Katryna joined our dental team last year after having worked alongside Dr. Therese for 3 years as a dental assistant of a family practice in Fitchburg. She has been in the field for 6 years and is currently continuing her education by pursuing the profession of dental hygiene. She is in her final year of dental hygiene school at the University of New England and has been excelling in both didactic and clinical areas of her schooling. During her breaks from UNE, she is often helping out at the office as a dental assistant and plans to join as a dental hygienist after graduation. She is an extremely compassionate and kind individual beloved by patients and team members alike.

In her free time, Katryna loves to exercise, hike, ride horses, and spend time with her friends and family.

Therese Susienka General Dentist

Dr. Therese (pronounced "Teresa") is thrilled to have opened her own dental practice here in Sutton, MA. She has a philosophy of compassionate dental care and high standards for excellent quality. Prior to opening her office, Dr. Therese spent years working alongside two skilled dentists in a family-oriented dental practice in Fitchburg, MA, where her gentle touch and friendly demeanor earned her the trust of many patients. She has a strong commitment to professional growth, and spends much of her free time learning about the latest technologies in the field, and keeping her skills sharp in all areas of general dentistry. Her professional passions include the study of occlusion (how the teeth bite together) and how to repair extensive damage in cases of poor occlusion, as well as as aspects of cosmetic dentistry. She also has a passion for service, and has traveled on multiple mission trips to provide dental care to poverty-stricken communities in Central America. 

Originally from a small town in southern New Hampshire, Dr. Therese has called Massachusetts her home for over 10 years. She owes the utmost gratitude to her loving parents, who instilled in her a strong sense of work ethic, and to her husband who has unconditionally supported her in all of her endeavors. She currently resides in Boylston with her husband Michael, and their two cats. In her free time, Dr. Therese is often spending time with family locally, or in New Hampshire, and enjoys yoga and gardening. 

Dr. Therese is an active member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and Spear Study Club.
